Buffalo Center Milk License Ordinance Hears Tuberculosis Checks
A 1922 Buffalo Center Iowa town ordinance requires milk sellers to obtain licenses after health officer inspections of dairy herds. Cows must be tested for tuberculosis and other contagious diseases with permanent tagging and annual renewals. Violations carry fines up to 100 dollars and possible imprisonment.
