Winnebago county reports 2,121,034 bushels of corn under price support for 1955, up from 1954. Loans total 1,306 on 1,820,654 bushels. purchase agreements cover 200,380 bushels of 1954 corn. Nationally, over 110 million bushels expected under price support by May 31, with loans maturing July 31 and reseal extensions ongoing.
The Linden Ladies club met at Mrs Archie Graber's home and planned a park family picnic at Crystal Lake on June 24 with 18 members present and three guests. New members accepted were Mrs Cline and Mrs Furst. The July meeting will be at Mrs Herman Halvorson's home. A long list of visits, services, and family events across Crystal Lake, Lanesboro, Humboldt, Ruthven, Forest City, and nearby towns follows, including reunions, weddings, and weddings observed in Des Moines and Henderson Minnesota, with many attendees from Grant, Linden, and surrounding communities.

Mr and Mrs Sam Winter with Mrs Jassie Stahrhorn of Mason City visited Earl George at Cresco. Mr and Mrs Harold Elman and Ern Sickels were Sunday dinner guests at the home of Mr and Mrs Russell Martin in Clarion.
Ray Murray of the Tribune will attend a summer Conference on Town and Local History at Drake University on Thursday June 21 part of the university's 75th anniversary observance. Dr William P Houlette leads arrangements with speakers Dr William J Peterson Claude Cook and George Mills.
