The week opened cool and wet then turned warm with clear skies aiding field work and crop growth. Weedy corn is being cleaned, pasture and meadow yields look stronger though hay may be below recent years, potatoes and gardens perform well, fruit condition 24 percent below last year with apples near half a crop.
