Johnson Family reunion held Sunday at the Dennis home with two present. Attending were Dora On and Paul Rosetti and family of Ta, Larry Cider of Fort Dodge, John Badie Jr., Lori Ir, Elmer Schnei family of Bancroft, Joe Johnson family, Ainerd Johnson family, Don On and sons of Swea City, Evert Swalve family of Bricelyn, Sharon Thorson of Kiester, and others including Johnson and Badje families from Center.
Mae Peterson and Sandra Peterson attended the Lutheran Institute with Mari Yalan. commencement was on May 29. Gary Peterson and family visited Ferndale, Washington, with trips from Seattle. June travel included hail adjuster Bob Juhl leaving Fargo for a short program. Edwards to attend Chemistry Institute at Iowa State University and California Lutheran College hosts. Esther and Grace circles plan church meetings with hostesses named.

The first Miller and Feffer mans family reunion was held at Ray Miller’s Buffalo Center home on Sunday June 14 with 77 attendees from eight states. The event honored Ray and Pat Miller’s 50th anniversary with a chrysanthemum bouquet and a cash purse. Grandchildren totaling five graduates attended, with a sixth calling from Versailles Missouri. Attending states included California Wisconsin Missouri Kansas South Dakota Nebraska Minnesota Iowa and others. Mary Lou Aukes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. BR Aukes of Buffalo Center, earned a Bachelor of Science in Zoology as she joined 1,475 graduates at Spring Commencement Exercises in Iowa City. She will pursue medical school after a summer research assistantship in electron microscopy.
