North Iowa High School Commencement Address Highlighted Leaders

Spencer Armstrong delivers the North Iowa High School commencement speech on May 21, praising two coaches, Mr. Anderson and Coach Potter, for leadership and dedication. Broken Spoke Show spotlight at Old Wagon Wheel venue

The 2nd Annual Broken Spoke Car and Motorcycle Show at The Old Wagon Wheel drew many local exhibitors on a Saturday in June. Mike Winkleman of Lakota won the top car prize with a 1967 Pontiac Firebird, with Heidi's Hair Care sponsoring another trophy among thirteen awarded. A new children's book by former Buffalo Center teacher Lucy Larson titled Paws Awhile was donated to the Buffalo Center Public Library.

Totus Tuus Summer Program Offered by Catholic Cluster

The Archangels Catholic Cluster will offer Totus Tuus a two session summer catechetical program focused on The Joyful Mysteries and the Mystery of Salvation. Day session for grades 1-6 at St. Boniface Garner July 10 14 from 9 a.m. to 2 30 p.m. Evening session for grades 7-12 at St. James Forest City July 9 13 from 7 p.m. to 9 15 p.m. Cost 5 per student with family max 15. Community Choir Forming for Buffalo Center Quasquicentennial

A Buffalo Center Quasquicentennial community choir invites all ages from junior high to seniors to join directed by Carole Kettwick. Rehearsals are June 12 21 and 26 at 7:00 p.m. in the First Reformed Church sanctuary. HCHS to offer after-hours mammograms starting June 12

Hancock County Health System announces evening screening mammograms from 5 to 7 pm on Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays beginning June 12. Director Jami Hagen says the option helps working women, though limited staff may cause waits or occasional rescheduling. Call 641-843-5190 to schedule.
