The annual Sunday School picnic is set for Tuesday June 11 at the John Ennen grove. A missionary offering will be collected Sunday morning for Pleasant Prairie Academy in German Valley Illinois.
Children’s Day Sunday begins with the Sunday School at 10. The day includes a Bible School close at 11 with a baptismal service and reception of new members. An offering supports religious education, followed by a picnic at the tourist park. District Epworth League convention at Ruthven Thursday 9:30 A. M. Epworth Institute July 8-14 at the Methodist camp West Okoboji with a cottage for a delegation.

Harold Kuchenreuther and children of Algona visited Geo Kuche at her home. Ma son City residents Geraldine Benner Stanley Johnson and Carroll Day visited Arline Mathison Tuesday evening. Robert Wilkens, working in Moline Illinois, spent a few days last week with his mother Sophie Wilkens. Mrs Clifford Bettelson and two daughters of Blue Earth Minnesota spend a week here with relatives. Margaret Johnson employed at Worthington Minnesota visited Sunday to Wednesday with relatives. Jerome Johnson and sons and Roy Johnson and son visited Swea City relatives. Mrs Lewis Ballard and son James of Des Moines visited the Harms home and relatives.
Cora Shuttle of Waterloo and Mrs L Plummer of Northwood visited Friday to Sunday at the Eiel home. Alpha Minnesota residents Mr and Mrs Lawrence Hastings and children called on the Eiels Sunday. Guests last Wednesday included Mrs John Eiel Mrs Merri Eiel Miss Mary Watson Mrs Helen Harman and Inez Moore. J F Doderer of Pomona California visits his sister Mrs J G Daum after attending Cedar Falls class reunion. A sand hill crane was mounted for the Tribune by Fred Adams. Snell Harm Feldick R M Bolsinger and G M Carman left for Lake Kabetogama Minnesota for a week of fishing and reported two boxes of walleyed pike. Moores Tile Like Floor Enamel ad ends with a local sale pitch.
On Memorial Day Mr and Mrs John Mathison and Arline with Mr and Mrs Lloyd Frewick and Junior traveled to Jewell where they were joined by Mrs Mathisons sister and brother from Des Moines and by Mr and Mrs George Christenson of Kanawha. The group toured to an old farm home near Jewell and enjoyed a picnic dinner.
