A follow up year program committee was named and village hosts for the September meeting designated. Fishermen Head North For Minnesotan Angling Trips
With the fishing season underway local anglers set out for northern Minnesota to Lake region lakes near Ray and Long Lake. H. A. Wagner and others departed last Friday for about ten days hoping for better fishing while a second party went to Victoria for a few days of angling but found the weather too cold. Memorial Day Observance in Buffalo Center
Under ideal weather Buffalo Center and nearby communities celebrated Memorial Day with a 1:15 p.m. program in the city park led by the Auxiliary and Legion. A parade proceeded from city hall to the school and cemetery where Rev N Boomgarden presided. H P Rissa delivered the main address to a packed house while Rev A W Ganger Rev Fr Al Schmeetz and Rev N Boomgarden also spoke. Prizes were awarded in the Poppy Poster contest and taps were played by Forrest Schmidt and Robert Schutter. The parade featured a historical Iowa flag later placed in state. the flag’s journey included time with governors and veterans events.

Sugar Beet Benefit Checks Arrive For 1934 Production
Sugar beet benefit payments are arriving at the Blue Earth office for 1934 production. Checks are mailed to contract signers upon receipt, with about 160000 in the Mason City Factory District. The district spans 13 counties, four in Minnesota, producing roughly half to Town and half to Minnesota-Pubbath County. Some contracts delayed due to signatures and legal issues in Washington.
