North Iowa artists win at Forest City art show
Thirteen North Iowa High School artists entered the Northern Iowa High School Art Exhibit held May 3 at Waldorf College and Forest City High School. Carli Price won first in painting and Best of Show for two-dimensional art, with Jace Quising and Chelsey Roth taking second, and Alannah Larson third in watercolor. Honorable mentions went to Kelsey Griffin and Dylan Wortman. Other North Iowa participants included Ryan Almelien, Erik Aldana, Maddie Amerik, Lexis Julsrud Wertjes, Kayla Stelter, Aleah Brown, Daniela Tamayo, Chance Sahr, Makeila Shortenhaus, Jon Wabben, and Emily Ullmann.

The May 22 Tribune corrects an error on the Memorial Day page omitting Dean Sunde of Buffalo Center from the honored veterans roll. Sunde served in the U S Army from 1953 to 1955 during the Korean War.
