Farm Equipment Faces Need for Parts and Service Delays

J Merrill Anderson of the Iowa Farm Bureau urges improvements in parts delivery and service for large farm machines. Speaking at the 1970 Farm Equipment Institute in Milwaukee, he warns against regulations that curb expansion, noting Iowa farms have productive acres but risk subsistence policies and higher food costs if town farm sizes shrink. He emphasizes spare parts and prompt service as essential for farmers relying on durable equipment.
