Linda Lea Frerichs, daughter of Albert and Mrs. Frerichs, was born January 2 weighing 9 pounds, the first baby of 1959 at Buffalo Center Hospital. In 1958 the hospital saw 110 births, 50 boys and 60 girls. Vincent Steinberg, Steinberg Grocery proprietor, will exit the Buffalo Center grocery business after this Saturday night. No definite plans yet.

Mrs Harm Shortenhaus fell at her son Harry s home Sunday evening suffering a fractured hip. She was taken to Dolmage Hospital for X rays then moved to St Mary s Hospital in Rochester Minnesota for further treatment. TM Years Ago From Tribune Files of Thursday January 12 1939 report.
New Year afternoon guests at the home of Mr and Mrs Grant Ostrander included Mr and Mrs Claude Post and family ant Mr and Mrs Les Ostrander and Mark of Buffalo Center with Mr and Mrs John Drugg Gary and Danny of Wells Minnesota. Afternoon callers included John Lande and daughter Jane.
