Teens Help Farmer Rescue Animals From Fire

In sub zero cold two local youths rushed to Richard Heyes farm last Friday night and helped remove baby pigs and belongings from a burning hog house, saving animals and keeping them safe in nearby buildings. The boys left before thanks could be given, but their quick actions were praised by Heyes for saving the animals from burns and smoke. The Tribune notes Floyd Winter’s 18 game dilemma in the sectional race and reports a 57-58 West Bend win by the Bison with high scorer Balgeman. Freshmen and junior varsity results are listed along with deer harvest figures for Iowa 1965 season and a funeral service for Stanley Christensen attended by the Tribune staff.
