Mr and Mrs Art Kramer learned late Tuesday evening that Alvin Kramer aged 45 of Sully Iowa had died. The Kramers left Wednesday noon to attend the funeral and said the store would be closed for several days.

County Sheriff Monson investigated a deliberate destruction of a gas pump at Barney Bartleson Service Station in Forest City. A large truck from the south side damaged the pump after midnight, with valves closed to keep 1600 gallons from escaping.

Winnebago County Junior Show executive board and building committee approved plans for a Hog Pavilion at the Junior Show. The association authorized the project at January's annual meeting.
