Seibo Janssen Died of Heart Attack Monday
Seibo Janssen a longtime resident of this town died late Monday evening from a heart attack after attempting to retrieve mail. Born in Germany February 4 1883 he would have turned 75 soon. He came to America in 1892 living first at Ackley then Buffalo Center since 1910. He leaves his wife a sister Mrs John Van Gerpen and several nephews and nieces. Funeral services are planned at his home Friday at 1 30 PM and at the Baptist church with Rev Gerthe officiating.

Real Thompson Dies at Lake Mills Former resident
Real Thompson 83 a longtime resident died Thursday night January 30 at a Lake Mills nursing home. He farmed and shelled corn in the area and ran a hobby shop in Forest City. Services were held February 3 at Forest City Methodist Church with six grandsons as pallbearers. Survived by wife Eva two sons Vernelle and Lauen a daughter Naomi Swan and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Interment at Olena Mound Cemetery.

Farmers Head to Minneapolis Seed Plant Tour
Early Thursday a chartered bus from the Farmers Cooperative Elevator departs for Minneapolis on a free trip.
