Final Rites Held For Abbe J. Doden Near Woden
Abbe J. Doden died at his farm near Woden on January 29 at 60 years old. Born in Loquard Germany in January 1890, he was laid to rest at Buffalo Township Cemetery after services at St. John Lutheran Church Woden. Surviving are his wife three sons Arnold Rudolph and John two daughters Irene and Berniece three brothers and a sister. several siblings remain in Germany.

Farm Home of George Russ Destroyed by Fire
The farm home of George Russ and family burned last Thursday five miles east and four miles north of town. Neighbors saved furniture from the first floor while the upper story and basement contents, including canned goods, a washing machine and light plant batteries, were lost. The fire started near the chimney and caused partial insurance coverage. The family plans to rebuild in spring and currently resides in Lincoln No. 6 school house located 1½ miles west of the farm.

Theo. Klemesrud, editor of the Thompson Courier and Rake Regis ter, announces his bid for re election as Representative from Winnebago County. A Republican in his fourth term, he was born March 4, 1902, in Mitchell county and is a Waldorf Forest City graduate, also of Concordia College Moorhead.
