Buffalo Center Community School District voters approved a bond not to exceed 200000 dollars for a new addition. Of 456 ballots 378 were yes and 69 no with some spoiled. The result exceeds 82 percent in favor.
Dr and Mrs L P Miller visited Des Moines Sunday at the Olson home for the baptism of Elizabeth Amy at St John s Lutheran Church Her uncle Leo Paul Miller and Rosalie Miller were sponsors Guests included Mr and Mrs James Stewart and daughter Elizabeth Amy from Detroit Michigan The group shared noon dinner for sixteen and open house later Leo Paul and Rosalie Miller and the Miller relatives will host guests over the holidays John and Jerry s offered Christmas gifts galore
Dalmage Memorial hospital and Buffalo Center Clinic staff and spouses held a Christmas gathering at city hall last Thursday, Dec. 15. A pot luck supper preceded a program with entertainment. Mrs. Santa Claus brought gifts for Dr. Kroack, Dr. Moermond, Alfred Heitland, Miss Joan Johnson, and Mrs. James Murray, who also received a farewell gift. Traveling bingo closed the evening.
Roy B. Johnson, famed for organizing the Little Ranch Hands, now directs a class of about 90 Estherville students in square dancing at the public schools. The pupils are from 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades and practice alaman left and dosie do under his guidance.
The Berhow family extends thanks to relatives and friends for kindness after the death of Roy Berhow. Gratitude goes to neighbors, those who aided with funeral plans, floral and mission offerings, Pastor Mathre, hospital staff, and all who helped. May God bless you all.
George Weaver mourns the death of his sister Mrs. George Degarre who died in East Lansing Illinois. He traveled from Minneapolis to collect two sisters and return home after the funeral. He resumed duties at the Bowen Food Store Tuesday evening. The Tribune extends sincere sympathy.
In memory of our dear son Steven Kent who passed away December 23, 1954. The Lord has taken him from our home but never from our hearts. Missed by Mr and Mrs Andrew Winter and family.
