Washington report says the jury found Mrs Annie M Bradley not guilty of murdering ex Senator Arthur Brown of Utah at a local hotel last December. Verdict read at 10 08 amid applause. court thanked jury and discharged Mrs Bradley.
Michigan State Banking Commissioner announced Chelsea Slayings Bank will not reopen Tuesday to prevent a run and to give all depositors equal chances in settlement. Bank president is State Treasurer Frank P. Glazier who has deposited about $684,000 of state funds. state bond protects up to $160,000, unlikely loss to state.

Henry Osborne Havemeyer, president of the American Sugar Refining Co, died at his Merrivale Stock Farm home in Commack L.I. after a Thanksgiving day indigestion and heart failure. His illness worsened despite oxygen therapy. at his bedside were his wife, son Horace, and daughters Electra and Dr. K Frishell. He was born October 18, 1847, in New York and helped form the company in 1887 succeeding his brother Theodore as president.
Secretary of War Taft and his party arrived in Berlin from Russia and, after a reception, left for Hamburg and Cuxhaven to sail Saturday on the President Grant to New York. Mrs Taft departed for Paris. Ambassador Tower and Lt Col Wisser joined them at the station as German and foreign correspondents traveled with the train.
Former Mayor Robingon of Cloud Minn was fined 100 dollars on Wednesday for malfeasance in office tied to failing to enforce the Sunday cleaning law during his tenure as mayor over a year ago. The fine was paid.
In St Joseph a telephone tip led Dr J Koch of Maryville to the Moorehouse home where they found Mr Moorehouse dead with two bullet wounds one temple one chest. He was about 30 and son of former Governor A P Moorehouse who killed himself in Maryville in September 1881. The line about self inflicted death is uncertain.
