1967 Feed Grain Program Offers Good Returns
Harland E. Johnson, Chairman, Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation County Committee, states the 1967 feed grain program encourages larger feed grain acreage. Corn and grain sorghum return to the program, barley is excluded, and participants gain price support loans and payments. Participation aims to balance supply with demand and avert surpluses. Farmers qualify by signing up and diverting 20 percent of the farm’s feed grain base.
