NRCS to offer higher EQIP rates to Iowa farmers
NRCS in Iowa will provide elevated EQIP payment rates for 20 conservation practices across private lands. The move expands support beyond underserved groups, aligning with the Nutrient Reduction Strategy to improve water quality, soil health, and wildlife habitat. Practices include denitrifying bioreactors, constructed wetlands, riparian buffers, windbreaks, and stream protection. Contact local NRCS offices or visit the Iowa NRCS site for details.
