Glenn Bergland, manager of the Winnebago Rural Electric Cooperative Association, announced that on December 11, 1987 two thousand one hundred fifty rebate checks totaling 47,896,586 will be mailed to Winnebago REA users. The checks reflect a 10 percent rebate on January through October 1967 usage. Thieves broke into the Blue Room during the early hours of November 3 and carried off 12 to 16 six‑packs of Budweiser, two 12‑packs of Grainbelt beer, five pocket watches, three pocket knives, and $100 to $150 in small change.
