Members of Winnebago Post No 21 American Legion will meet in regular session tonight at 8 o'clock in the Post hall. Ex service men are invited whether or not they belong to the Legion. Commander Chris Friis and Adjutant Harm Feldick preside as officers. Feather Party a Success despite small turnout with duck and turkey hunting results noted. Post treasury gained from feather fans contributions while committee members struggled to secure geese for the event. Local post members were thanked for lunches and attendance. 500 Here To Celebrate John Deere Centennial
About 500 farmers from Buffalo Center and nearby areas attended the John Deere Centennial program at the town theater. Harringa & Heitland hosted a day of four educational talking pictures and a speech by a John Deere representative, marking the first steel plow’s century milestone.
