Operation Care Package benefit raises over $2800 in Swea City
The Operation Care Package fundraiser at LaRow's Bar and Grill in Swea City on August 6 raised more than 2800 dollars. Four volunteers from Swea City and Lakota organized the event, which drew support from area businesses across several towns. The crowd enjoyed the Down to Earth Band after a supper, raffle, and balloon release, and the committee continues collecting names and addresses to send care packages to overseas soldiers.
