Superintendent pushes for school levy to fund improvements
North Iowa School Board seeks voter support for a new PPEL tax levy after April's narrow defeat. Superintendent Cory Myer outlined projects from renovations and new equipment to energy upgrades and bus replacements, with a September 12 vote. The levy would raise about 0.85 per thousand in property taxes and a 2 percent income surtax over 10 years, estimated to generate about 400000 annually.
