The Thompson City Council met in regular session on Monday, August 8, 2011 at 5:30 pm in the Gly Clerks office. Mayor Jonson presided. members Fiebeker, Will Anderson, Chapman attended. Hughes absent. Actions included approving agenda and minutes, discussing city issues, adding a patch project on Lynn Steel and Jackson Street not to exceed 1000, approving a line item correction, denying a purchase of North Iowa Middle School property, approving renewal of Squid W liquor license, designating the housing rehabilitation grant target per map, and approving various vendors and payments totaling disbursements and receipts for the 2011 fiscal year.
North Iowa Community School Board met in regular session August 8 2011 with President Gesking guiding six members and several attendees. The agenda was approved, minutes from August 2 2011 were approved, and the board recessed for annual review then reconvened to cover summer projects, finance reports, and consent items including staff changes and open enrollments for 2011 12 with several transportation agreements among Forest City Tonka North Kossuth Lake Mills and Woden Crystal Lake.
The Rake City Council met August 8 2011 at 7 00 PM with Mayor Hagedom presiding. Present were James Joynt Dave and Benn. Wit absent. They approved the agenda minutes and July bills, discussed a canine unit funding with the sheriff, water deposit policy, cleanup charges for unimproved properties, and purchasing fans. Elections papers due September 22. An adjournment followed with officials noted.
Winnebago County Supervisors vote to approve the notes from the July 26, 2011 board meeting and approve the August 2 2011 agenda. Sessions discuss abandoning County Road 240 at Pilot Knob west entrance and approve brash contour costs and drainage projects totaling 14200.00.
