Chili Cook-off raises over $3,000 for Jahnke in Rake
Community benefit hosted in Rake to aid Josh Jahnke as he recovers from leukemia and bone marrow transplant complications. The event drew twelve chili entries, a People's Choice ticket fund, and a bake sale with silent auction items from local businesses and individuals. Donations poured in through the State Savings Bank of Rake and other contributors, with winners announced for hottest, mildest, and best overall chili. Participants include Beth Matheson, Carolyn Skogen, Karl Westrum, and Carol Mahnke.
