Iowa Legislature Ends Session With Vetoes and Budget Notes
The Iowa General Assembly finished work with bills awaiting governor approval and others set for Independence Day enactment. Highlights include education funding of 17 million and board changes, limited highway safety measures, a notable seven thousand dollar claims award, and a surge of 165 registered lobbyists on the hill. The session cost about 300,000 dollars and netted 300 measures, many already in effect or pending.
