Car hits span abutment. Philadelphia man killed
A Philadelphia man, Joseph W. Brown, 38, of Middletown Township, died after his car swerved on Route 1 near a construction area and struck a bridge abutment. The crash occurred at 4:30 AM as he traveled about 178 feet off the roadway. police say speed may have been a factor. Brown was pronounced dead on arrival at Lower Bucks Hospital.
