Popular Bryan teacher Nell Wolf dies after pneumonia

Miss Nell Wolf 22, a Lawton Oklahoma native, came to Bryan to teach kindergarten at the high school. After two weeks of teaching she contracted grippe which developed into pneumonia and she died at the home of Mrs. J. B. Sanders. She was honored by faculty and students and funeral services were planned for Cameron. Her mother and relatives learned of the death as the body prepared for transport to Cameron for burial.

Monument to three American soldiers planned at Bethel Mont

Paris reports a memorial to the first three U S soldiers killed in action on November 3 1917. A tall granite column designed by Louis Majorelle will stand at Bethel mont in the sector where the heroes fell. One shaft side will bear the inscription praising their sacrifice for right and country.
