Mexican oil fields cap able of 1 500 000 barrels per day

Mexico City reports a 1.5 million barrel per day capacity for Mexican oil fields, with exports in 1917 1918 at about 50 million barrels each year. The dispute over Article 27 of the 1917 constitution prompts Mexican government and foreign oil companies lining up to court action, while nationalization negotiations risk changing long standing private titles and leases valued at about 300 million dollars in U S and Britain.

City Tax Base Up Sharply in Bryan County Wide Rise

Tax assessor figures show Bryan property values rise by 310 800 over last year with city and county combined increases totaling 510 371. Bryan total valuation reaches 3 688 262 about one third of county, city real estate 2 425 955 up 233 280, personal property 1 262 200 up over 6 percent. City tax rate up to 1.60 from 1.45 per hundred, 15 cents adding to fund power plant and equipment. City revenue up to 59 000, an increase of 10 000 over last year.
