Louis Kramer was sentenced to two years in prison and fined ten thousand dollars for anti conscription activities. The sentence follows his public admission and self confessed involvement reported by the Associated New York dispatch.

The attorney general’s department rules that the legal notice publication law covers all election notices that must be posted except general elections. Shooting on Bryan Street shock ends in critical wound

Tom Ropolo, a well to do Italian farmer with six children, was shot in the left side near the Parker Astin Hardware store on Bryan Street. Frank Pomelia, a 17 or 18 year old, fled after the double barrel shotgun blast. Sheriff Nunn is pursuing Pomelia as Ropolo remains in critical condition at Bryan Hospital.

Clash With Mexicans Today at Ysleta Reported

German raid on London East End leaves many dead and injured

London reports say up to fifty killed and around two hundred injured after a German air raid on the East End at noon. Vice Admiral Sims narrowly escaped a bomb while in the area. a school house was struck, ten children killed and fifty injured.
