Important Stage Is Approached In Cotton Development
Dr. A B Cox predicts a new phase in cotton policy as US programs from 1933 to 1935 cut domestic supply. He notes US production fell from 11 742 000 to 6 921 000 bales by May 1 and foreign output rose by 18 470 000 bales, giving world carryovers up 43 000 000 bales. Domestic supply shrinkage is offset by foreign gains, risking lower prices next year.
