The House and Senate adopt H J R 30 proposing to amend Section 3 Article 7 of the Texas Constitution to permit county ad valorem taxes up to 50 cents and district taxes up to one dollar per $100 valuation for public school maintenance. Mexican bandits sentenced to death in Oberlies murder case

Woman Murdered in St Joseph MO At Home Intruder Attack
Mrs Oscar Daniel wife of Buchanan County prosecuting attorney died from an intruder attack at her home in St Joseph. Her skull was crushed with a blunt instrument and the attacker fled after firing at her husband who had been lured away by a ruse telephone call. The attorney found his wife in a pool of blood.
