Mule Runs Away Damaging Delivery Wagon
A delivery wagon owned by groceryman Hardy Newton was damaged when a young mule ran away this morning. Starting from a blacksmith shop on West Anderson Street the mule pulled the wagon east to Smith Drug Company corner, hit the curb, and broke free from the harness. The wagon rolled until stopped by R. C. Stone as the mule fled about two blocks. Driver Dwight Hanna, who had just taken a horse to be shod, was uninjured.
