Lenard Hall Shot Dead After Street Dispute in Madisonville
Lenard Hall was shot in the stomach on a Madisonville street at 12 30 AM Tuesday and died four hours later. The fatal clash followed a dispute with night policeman Joe Green. Hall resided in Center community and had come to town for a snow. Several relatives survive.

Painfully Shot While Hunting on Navasota Ranch
Charles Tabor son of Captain O L Tabor was badly wounded when a shotgun discharged in a boat on the Navasota River at Captain Tabor's ranch. The bird shot struck his right wrist and glanced into his chest and side as he stretched full length. A physician treated the injuries and he is recovering but will be sidelined for days.
