Boerne Bank Robbed of 10000 in Liberty Bonds
Four heavily armed robbers forced town watchman Paul Menn to accompany them at gunpoint and cut all telephone wires to isolate the State Bank of Boerne Kendall County. They tunneled into the vault at 10 o'clock and stole 10000 in Liberty bonds and 500 in small change. The quartet fled toward San Antonio leaving the watchman injured and the robbers reportedly hiding in the city. The crime was discovered at 7 AM when the Boerne telephone exchange reported the cuts.

City Commission Lets Contract for New Fire Apparatus
