Cadet Die in Ellington Field Plane Crash

Wayles B Bradley, 23, a cadet at Ellington Field, was killed when an airplane he was flying plunged about 100 feet early Monday. An explosion from the gasoline tank burned the craft and burned Bradley. he died before the field ambulance arrived, with the wreckage largely incinerated.

Stockholm reports General Hannerrein's troops defeated the Red Guards and Russians at Uleaborg and captured the city, a northern Finland military depot. The two day battle cost several hundred lives.

Lieut Grant’s Brother Killed in Plane Fall Near Denton

Silas Grant 34 brother of Lieut S S Grant physician in Company K signal corps was killed when an airplane piloted by Cadet Robert Foote crashed near Denton during a flight with Hicksfield student aviators. Foote was seriously injured. Alfred Grant, another brother, serves in aviation and had departed Hicksfield for foreign service. The Grant family mourns the tragedy and Lt. Grant receives strong sympathy from the signal corps.

Switchman Wilson Killed in Katy Train Crash

Dallas reports: switchman T. M. Wilson died and six other trainmen were injured when a Katy switch engine and a freight train collided headlong on the outskirts of the city early today.
