Death of Oliver Spiller in Wheelock district
Oliver Spiller of the Edge community died Monday afternoon December 26 at Bryan hospital. His body was prepared for burial by McCulloch Gordon Co and sent to Wheelock for interment December 27 in Wheelock cemetery. He was 28 years old, born and reared in Wheelock Edge, deaf and dumb since birth. He leaves three brothers.

Three guns, three razors, a clock, shells, knives and other items were recovered. Daniels attempted to sell a gun to W J Christian. a relative aided by discarding a knife. He awaits grand jury action in January and faces penitentiary time.
