Judge John Whitfield Doremus of Bryan died at Bryan Hospital after being found unconscious in his office on Wednesday. He had served as city attorney and was a prominent Texas lawyer with deep ties to Bryan and Houston based clients. He leaves wife Ozela Pugh and four children including J W Doremus Jr Joe Doremus Ras Doremus and Mrs W A Leigh. He had recently vacationed in Arkansas.
