Lost yesterday at the H T C depot a lady's black hand bag with watch chain ring and about ten dollars. Reward for return to L Lobellows store. In regular session the council chaired by mayor pro tem Batts authorized opening a ditch to connect Allen Academy with the city water works after reviewing the secretary’s September balances and funds across multiple city accounts. Attendance excluded May or Butler and Alderman Brandon.
Mrs Lula Martin 43 died at the family home after a lengthy illness in Bra zos county. She leaves husband W S Martin and six children. She was a Methodist and funeral services are set for this morning at 5 with burial at Alexander cemetery at 10:30 conducted by Dr I F Begis.
Sheriff R M Nall confirms Cherry Burl, one of the escapees, is back in custody at Atoka Indian Territory after Deputy J D Conlee sent a telegram. Nall requested requisition papers but asked Conlee to bring the prisoner in without them if possible. Only Ed Parker remains at large.
Mrs. Ben G. Bond died at her home after an extended illness. She was about 38, leaves her husband and six children, and was reared in Brazos county. A member of the Methodist church, her remains were buried at Kaiser burying ground with Dr. I F Betts conducting the funeral service yesterday afternoon.

Dr J F Betts the pastor announces Sunday services at the First Methodist church. Sunday school at 9 45 am, preaching at 11 am and 8 pm, Rosebuds at 4 pm. All are invited especially students attending local schools.
