RETURN OF VOLUNTEERS FROM PHILIPPINES EXPECTED
The first volunteer group in the Philippines will depart Manila on November 1 and about 25 000 men are to return home by June at a rate of 4000 to 5000 monthly. Sick soldiers may travel earlier to avoid crowding, and regiments will be mustered out and paid upon arrival at the Presidio.
