Trial of Felix Brown in district court on murder charge
The district court spent Wednesday and Thursday on the State versus Felix Brown murder case. The state was represented by J. Felton Lane and Lamar Bethea. Brown was defended by W. C. Davis and Robert Armstrong, appointed counsel. The jury retired at 6:30 pm and, at 9 pm, had not reached a verdict and was locked up for the night. James Godwin and Miss Nettie O’Neal will wed today at the bride’s Normangee home and then return to their city home.
