A physician reports that nonsmokers develop more rapidly than smokers. He notes smokers show languor after smoking and that frail hearts are more harmed. Across nine years, nonsmokers gain significantly in height and chest girth and learn and move more quickly.
An orchid hunter named Andre led a party through an unknown region of Venezuela facing extreme hardships. Mateo Ramirez received a snake bite above the ankle and, amid panic, endured a brutal improvised remedy involving a creeper constriction and burning, followed by tobacco and garlic applied to the wound.
A passage outlines strict confinement of a Chinese wife to her husband and mother in law. Tabor Texas September 28. We regret to chronicle the death of Phelix Richardson one of the community s most promising young men. His remains were interred in Wheelock cemetery Friday September 25. J S Francis and wife visited relatives in Bryan Sunday. Henry Hanover of Wheelock was a pleasant visitor Sunday. William Brogdon of Higgs School House was here Sunday. Mesers Cliff Martin Alonzo Carter and Walter Holden visited our city Sunday. Im Francis Jr and Mark Rudasil went to Henry Prairie Sunday Ranger.
