Dewey Parade Highlights New York Welcome

New York on Sept 80 celebrated Admiral Dewey with a forward parade toward city hall. Dewey praised the sailors of the Olympia as captains and officials greeted him amid cheering crowds and a lengthy land and naval procession. Washington reports follow on naval commands and Samoa events.

Mexico to exhibit at Pan American exposition in 1901

Buffalo dispatch reports Pan American exposition officials announced Mexico will establish an exhibit at the 1901 Pan-American exposition in Buffalo. In Hamilton Ohio the Democratic state campaign opened with a rally headlined by John R. McLean and other ticket candidates. Fredericksburg Texas saw the Engel cotton gin at Luckenbach burned with no insurance and no salvage.
