Laredo mourns for Dr Murray a renowned yellow fever expert and Marine Hospital Service dean who died from injuries after a carriage accident while returning from a yellow fever patient. He was 64 a Civil War veteran with two sons and a daughter Mrs Charles Carter of San Augustine. The Grand Army of the Republic and Masons escorted his body as flags flew at half mast. A telegram from his son requested his remains be sent to Bluffton for interment.
