Inter-Urban Railway Case Mirrors Bryan College Plan
Ames Iowa professor C F Curtis argues the Iowa A M College grew after a two mile steam railway connected town and campus in 1891. He notes 1500 students plus 600 to 700 short course, 4000 town population, and a 10 to 15 percent dividend paying line. He compares aims, costs, and potential of a Bryan electric railway to serve the college and region.
