Three Killed in La Costa Train Collision
San Antonio reports a deadly crash at La Costa where the Sunset Limited rear collided with the Eagle Pass train. Three Mexicans in Gen. Trevino’s private car died after the rear Pullman telescoped, and seven others were injured. Gen. Trevino and family were unhurt.

United States Steel counsel filed amended charter papers with the New Jersey secretary of state merging the Carnegie Steel company from the National Steel company and American Steel Hoop company in a structure that mirrors documents filed Thursday. Derailment Injures Fourteen on Burlington Train
A southbound Chicago Burlington and Quincy passenger train derailed four miles north of Thompson Illinois. Twenty six people were injured as the two rear coaches a Pullman sleeper and chair car overturned and caught fire. Trainmen chopped a hole through the chair car bottom to rescue passengers. Sleepers had a narrow escape from flames and many fled in night clothing.
