Japan Approves 150 Million Dollar Government Loan

London negotiations by Kuhn, Loeb & Co. announced a Japanese government loan of 150 million dollars at 4 percent interest secured by a first mortgage on the tobacco monopoly. Half the loan to be raised in the United States with Kuhn, Loeb & Co. heading an American syndicate aided by National City Bank and the National Bank of Commerce. The term and subscription price were not disclosed, but terms are said to be better than previous loans.
