Sermon Explores Hell Theme At Local Methodist Church

Dr. T. H. Morris of the First Methodist Church delivered a Sunday night sermon on hell using Luke 16. He argued hell is both a place and state of punishment for the impenitent, describing torment, darkness, and gnashing of teeth. He noted hell's lake of fire as a probable symbol of enduring suffering and warned that names not in the book are chosen by individuals. Prof. John Burns and A. & M. College cadets also traveled to Fort Worth to join stock judging contests for Fat Stock show premiums.
