In Jackson Kentucky on June 19 Foreman Richard Millard reports the jury cannot reach an agreement in the Jett White case. Judge Redwine says the panel will stay together until Saturday night unless a verdict is reached sooner. One juror insists on his opinion and another trial is anticipated due to a hung jury.
Breathitt County story set for Monday night at the opera house in Lexington with Captain Ewen to address the crowd. Ex congressman Breckenridge and Hon Bronston among expected speakers as supporters raise funds for men and seek a petition to call a special session to address Breathitt assassin charges.
Captain B. J. Ewen received a public ovation at the Elks hall as young women from across the state hailed him as the bravest man in Kentucky. Ewen declined wine and tobacco, while the governor remained reticent on a new trial amid court transfers from Jackson to Cynthiana.
