The Agricultural and Mechanical College commencement attracts many visitors including board members alumni and guests. Bishop Kinsolving delivered the baccalaureate sermon on religion and agriculture and a concert by the college band followed. Alumni activities include elections and an annual banquet with speeches by Carlos Bee and W A Warzbach. Deputy Williams Dies After Montana Prison Escape Shootout
Glasgow Montana June 9 Deputy sheriff Jack Williams died from a gunshot wound after being shot by George Pierce one of four escaped prisoners who fled Saturday night. The posse has not captured any of the escapees who stole two horses crossing the river and head toward the bad lands. Sheriff Cosner believes one fugitive remains in brush near town and orders a large armed posse to pursue. capture alive unlikely as the men are well armed.
