Fort Worth Texas July 28 Jim Garlington alias Jim Darlington hanged at 1 50 PM for the murder of Watton Whitaker the Santa Fe fireman on the south bound train near the city on July 22 1898 A conspiracy to rob the train involved Garlington Ellis Moore and Petty Petty turned informer to Hardin Gunnells police aiding conviction Moore received two life sentences Garlington and Ellis fled to different jurisdictions and were pursued by authorities. Moore captured in Indian Territory Garlington in Navarro County Ellis never caught.
